Our laboratory has been in operation since 1947. We are a family owned and customer friendly company, delighted to be back operating under our own name. Here is the chronology of our identities:

Scotts had a contract with J.R. Peters, Inc. to test samples for them. The contract expired in June of 2002. The Scotts Co.
chose not to renew. |

Can I still send samples to the J.R. Peters Lab? |

YES! Absolutely! We are continuing with business as usual. You will receive all the same services you have come to trust,
provided by the same highly trained professionals. You won’t find better service anywhere in the industry. Continue to send

What is the price for testing with the J.R. Peters Lab? |

The price is still $36 per sample for Growing Media, Plant Tissue, Water, or Fertilizer Solutions. If you test 100 or more samples
per year you may qualify for a discount. Call us at 866-522-5752 to
check. We also offer physical testing, QA testing, and
other custom testing. If you only need pH and E.C., no problem, we do that. Call us for pricing or for special requests. |

Can I still receive recommendations based on my lab results? |

Absolutely! After you have reviewed
your lab results simply call our toll free number to speak to Dr.
Karen Kackley, Dr. Cari Peters or Jack Peters.

Do you still offer the prepaid poinsettia testing program? |

Yes. New for 2007, we offer a
completely redesigned program we call the Poinsettia Tracking System
(PTS). You’ll get the most up-to-date cultural information,
sampling reminders, and expert technical advice. We’ve added
discount coupons for future analyses, and for our extensive line of

What is your sample turnaround time? |

Our typical turnaround time is 24 – 48 hours. For faster service, laboratory results are available via fax or e-mail. We’ll
even notify you when your samples are received. Just include your e-mail address with your samples.

Can I still use the sample mailers that have the Scotts Testing Lab name with the Allentown, PA address? |

Yes, but although our address has not changed, please cross out Scotts and write J.R. Peters. We have new mailers with our
new name, and we also have stickers with our new name to apply to old mailers. Please call 866-522-5752, ext. 46 to order
stickers and/or a new supply of FREE Media, Plant Tissue, and Solution sample mailers. Remember to make checks payable to J.R. Peters, Inc., just as you have done for the last five years.

Can I buy Specialty Chemicals through the lab?

Yes, we offer a complete line of chemicals designed to supplement your fertilization program. Chemicals are available in
